The Time I Roomed with Leonardo da Vinci

The Bacheh-Mahal Painters series tells stories about famous painters of the world and their times. Mohammadreza Marzoughi has spent years studying painters and their works, and ultimately wrote stories in which the main character, called Uncle Saman, travels to different historical periods and befriends some of the world’s most famous artists. In some volumes of the series, Uncle Saman is present during the most crucial moments in the painters’ lives—for example, he is beside Michelangelo while painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, or next to Leonardo da Vinci while painting the Mona Lisa.
