Asilabad

Asilabad by Mohammad-Reza Sarshar tells the story of a village by the same name—an exemplary village where people’s affairs run smoothly, children are lively and energetic, and the hearths and ovens are always burning. In short, everything is perfect until a travelling peddler arrives. This peddler brings with him a shahr-e farang (a peep show box with changing scenes), which immediately captivates everyone. Gradually, this magical device begins to change the lives of all the villagers.
