Long ago, there was a merchant who owned a beautiful, sweet-voiced parrot. He loved his parrot very much. The merchant built a cage and placed the little bird inside it. Every day, he fed it water and seeds and petted it with affection. But the parrot was not happy in the cage—because it was not free.
