The Uninvited Guests is one of the most beautiful and brilliant works in Iranian children’s literature. On a cold, rainy night, the old aunt provides refuge to various animals caught in the rain. She warms them and treats them generously. The next day, she asks each animal to return to their home. However, the animals, reluctant to leave her, each offer to help her with different tasks so they can stay by her side. In the end, all the animals and the old aunt begin a happy and harmonious life together.

The book teaches values such as peace, friendship, acceptance of differences, hospitality, crisis management, refuge, environmental awareness, and peaceful coexistence. The Uninvited Guests has been repeatedly reprinted and recognized as a selected book by the Children’s Book Council. In May 2017 (1396 in the Iranian calendar), it was registered in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, entry number 1394. The book has been translated into several languages, including English and Kurdish, and numerous animations have been adapted from it.
